Heather C. Collins holds an active license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida. Heather is on the Board of Directors as a working member of Corporate Crisis Management Inc.—a company specializing in partnering with businesses and organizations to prepare for and manage a crisis or traumatic event through education, training and on-site incident management. She is employed by the Regional Level 1 Trauma Center as an air medical flight nurse.
Heather has 30 years of experience in emergency medicine and 15 years of experience in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) on both state and local levels, having served as co-director/secretary of the Tampa Bay Regional Critical Incident Stress Management Team of Hillsborough County. She has extensive experience in providing services for large- and small-scale incidents involving emergency service workers, law enforcement, hospitals and businesses which have encountered workplace violence, robberies, fatal accidents, suicides, homicides and unexpected deaths.
Heather is actively involved in the development of a community mental health response team that will provide services to the community in the event of a disaster.
